HOT TEXAS SUN

With fire for hands and water as shoes
The wind of his being melts the earth as the dew
Causing every existence to be an instance
When elements they collide

The muses breathe life while spirit burns clean
And raindrops eternal roll like dew on the leaf

Because we're fallin' like rain
Against that hot Texas sun
All of us glistening when we run
As streaming colors we flood each other
Just ocean bound against that hot Texas sun

Catching the night may only ignite
Moonlight's lonesome gleam
A star bright fall grounded us all
Just puddles reflecting back those still to come

Out of nothing comes everything
Leftover voids of our own making
An inverse pattern upon which we
Exist without even knowing

Because we're fallin' like rain
Against that hot Texas sun
All of us glistening when we run
As streaming colors we flood each other
Just ocean bound against that hot Texas sun

Right over, inside, on top of, behind
Next to, the same, all different, besides
What can you say about that with no name
Where everything remains the same

And nothing explains in a glint of life
I caught my reflection in the dewdrop's flight

Because we're fallin' like rain
Against that hot Texas sun
All of us glistening when we run
As streaming colors we flood each other
Just ocean bound against that hot Texas sun
