POETRY THE NIGHT I SPENT IN JAIL
A dead man's funeral Procession blocks my path For how long we Have both sat Still He in coffin Me in cell Wondering where my twelve Hours overnight Went to time's reaper A night incarcerated To stop for death Out of respect I quietly await my release Not him Not them Lost in coffins Built in war ~ DBrown Fisher © March 2003 -written after I was released from arrest in Austin, Texas at peaceful protest concern my observations of abuse of legitimate information sources to convince United States of America to launch an unprovoked attack on another country's citizenry.
