Caught between Romantic context Forms functional seams Scientific method Hardened by means Casts away castaways Clearing the decks Images sound vague Confused and eluded Stubbornly refusing Enlightenment intellectualized Academically infused Hollowed vacancy Uselessness construed While somewhere in the between… Caught myself Not paying attention Lost again Withdrawn and confused Wallowing in dejection Giggling blue Bursting excitement Critically extracted Necessity contracted Vulgarities come to mind… Pen back to paper Culminating rhyme Blasting brain farts Driveling thoughts Juicy ink blots Art costs So divvy up those arms and legs… Run far and fast Never look back Because I'll bet they are All out to get you Refuse the obvious Obliviously mistrust Runs down puddling canvas Stink blanks False alarms Content and form Mounding patty piles High-water wading Pulling up the bootstraps Spanking black Away with the blues Bound and gagged Infinitely free Shackled delightedly Words lock jaw Brain calls Long distance Busy signals The lines are out for now… ~ DBrown Fisher © April 2000
